Langacker's Heller notgeld belongs to the wave of municipal emergency currency that flooded Upper Austria in 1920, when small-denomination coins had effectively vanished from everyday commerce. Reklame Druck was a commercial advertising printer in Linz — not a security printer — which is precisely the point: towns like Langacker had no access to specialist facilities and commissioned whoever was local and willing.
