备注	Pottendorf's 50 Heller notgeld of 1920 belongs to the vast wave of Austrian municipal emergency money issued after the collapse of the Habsburg monetary system left small communities without adequate coin for everyday transactions. The Marktgemeinde — a market town with a long textile manufacturing history, its spinning mills dating to the late eighteenth century — was hardly alone in resorting to locally printed scrip, but the sheer volume of similar issues from Lower Austria makes distinguishing genuine circulation pieces from the printer's remainder stocks a persistent problem with this series.
