正面描述 Cream-toned Notgeld issued in the Art Nouveau style, with the issuer's title "Gutschein der Gemeinde Ottnang" in bold Gothic lettering across the top. A central cartouche in an organic, undulating frame carries the denomination numeral "50" above the inscription "HELLER", flanked on both sides by symmetrical floral vignettes of stylised blossoms and curvilinear stems. Below the central design, a three-line German text confirms the municipality's obligation to redeem the note in legal tender by 31 December 1920, followed by the date "Ottnang, 3. Jänner 1920" and the facsimile signature of the Bürgermeister, Michael Katzlberger.

备注

Ottnang am Hausruck was a coal-mining settlement in Upper Austria, and its municipality issued this Heller note during the acute small-change shortage that followed Austria's defeat in the First World War. The central Austrian government was unable to supply adequate coinage, so hundreds of municipalities, businesses, and even churches issued their own Notgeld — emergency scrip valid only locally. Ottnang's notes circulated among miners and tradespeople in a tight geographic radius.

Michael Katzlberger, who signed as the responsible municipal official, was likely the Bürgermeister at the time. The JPR reference places this squarely in the documented Upper Austrian municipal series.
