The denomination numeral '50' appears in ornate panels at upper left and upper right. In the central upper register, the title 'Kassenschein der Marktgemeinde Obernberg a. Below, a block of text in Gothic script states the municipality's obligation to redeem the note in lawful currency, accompanied at lower left by a vignette of the town's heraldic beast — a squirrel passant — within a shield.
