| Beschrijving keerzijde | Red and yellow letterpress reverse with the denomination "50h" in large numerals at upper left and right within plain cartouches, flanked by stylised floral guilloche panels in the lateral borders. The central vignette presents a panoramic townscape of Neumarkt, with a church steeple rising above rooftops set against hillside trees, while the municipal coat of arms — a shield with a diagonal band and dog passant on a yellow ground — appears to the left. A symmetrical foliate ornament anchors the lower centre, and the redemption text with facsimile signatures of the Bürgermeister and his deputy occupies the lower register. |

| Opmerkingen |
Austrian Notgeld of this period emerged from the acute coin shortage that followed the First World War — small-denomination metal currency had been hoarded, melted, or simply stopped circulating, forcing municipalities across Austria to print their own emergency fractional paper. Neumarkt bei Salzburg was one of hundreds of Gemeinden that issued these notes in 1920, the peak year of local Austrian Notgeld production.
The two signatures — Stefan Danilo and Alois Birschimeier — almost certainly represent municipal officials rather than bank functionaries, which was typical for Gemeinde-level issues of this kind.
