| Descrizione del dritto | Printed in blue on cream paper, the obverse centres on a portrait vignette of Franz Maurus Lindemayr, the Upper Austrian dialect poet, surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves, with his name inscribed below in script lettering. The denomination '50 Heller' appears in large Gothic numerals at upper left and upper right, with 'fünfzig' and 'Heller' inscribed in the respective corners. A verse in Upper Austrian dialect runs in a banner across the upper portion of the note, and the issuer's name 'Gutschein der Gemeinde Neukirchen bei Lambach' is set in bold Gothic lettering along the lower margin. Decorative foliate and scrollwork borders frame the entire composition. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse, printed in blue on cream paper, carries the issuer's title 'Gutschein der Gemeinde Neukirchen bei Lambach' at the top between two boxed numeral '50' panels. A block of text in German Gothic script sets out the municipality's legal guarantee to redeem the note in lawful currency until 31 December 1920 and states that a dedicated reserve fund has been established. Below, the mayor's designation 'Der Bürgermeister:' appears above the printed signature 'Franz Schmalwieser.' A cautionary anti-counterfeiting legend runs along the lower border within a dotted frame. |

One of thousands of Austrian Notgeld issues produced by municipalities during the acute coin shortage that followed World War One. Neukirchen bei Lambach is a small market commune in Upper Austria, and like most rural issuers at this scale, the note circulated entirely within the local community — accepted by village traders and redeemed against a modest reserve held by the municipal authority. Franz Schmalwieser, whose signature appears on the note, was almost certainly the Bürgermeister or an authorized municipal official at the time of issue, not a banker.
