Obverse description Printed in dark green on pale pink paper, the obverse is framed by a rope-pattern border. The denomination '50 Heller' appears in large bold type at upper left, beneath which a redemption text block in Gothic script confirms validity to 31 December 1920, signed by Bürgermeister Ant. Kaltenbrunner. To the right, a landscape vignette rendered in a woodcut style presents a lakeside view of Mondsee with a prominent building, trees, and a mountainous backdrop under a clouded sky; the place name 'Mondsee in Oberösterr.' is inscribed in Gothic lettering along the lower margin.

Reverse description Printed in brown on cream paper, the reverse shares the same rope-pattern border. At upper left, the numeral '50' is set above the heraldic shield of Mondsee, which quarters a crescent moon against a striated field above a boat with figures on water. The right half of the note is occupied by a bold woodcut vignette in the Expressionist manner, showing the silhouette of a figure in a boat against swirling waves and wind, with dynamic curved lines conveying motion. The place name 'Mondsee in Oberösterr.' runs in Gothic script along the lower margin, with the designer's name 'REISENBICHLER' printed at the bottom centre.
