Obverse description Printed in dark brown on cream paper, the note is framed by a thin rectangular border with a fine wavy-line guilloche underprint filling the entire field. The denomination numeral '50' appears at upper left and upper right flanking the issuer legend 'Gutschein der Gemeinde Mettmach' in Gothic blackletter script, with 'Fünfzig Heller' in large display type below. The lower portion carries a redemption guarantee text in small Gothic type, signed by the Bürgermeister 'Joh. Hütter', with validity date and counterfeiting prohibition notice.
Nachahmung gesetzlich verboten!
Der Bürgermeister: Joh. Hütter.

Reverse description Plain cream paper printed in dark brown without a guilloche underprint, the reverse presents a typographically simple layout. The word 'Gutschein' appears as a heading in Gothic blackletter at the top, with the large numeral '50' centred between the mirrored legends 'über Fünfzig Heller' flanking it on each side, followed by 'der Gemeinde Mettmach.' A justification paragraph in smaller Gothic type at the foot cites the municipal committee resolution of 21 March 1920 as the legal basis for the issuance of the emergency notes.
