The left two-thirds of the face carry a Gothic-script heading 'Fünfzig Heller' with the numeral '50' in the upper-left corner, followed by the central legend 'Gutschein der Stadtgemeinde Melk a. d. Donau' and a three-line redemption guarantee text, a manuscript signature of the Bürgermeister, and the validity line 'Gültig nur bis einschließlich 30.
