Obverse description Salmon-toned notgeld printed in dark olive-green on a fine guilloche underprint. The left two-thirds of the face carry a Gothic-script heading 'Fünfzig Heller' with the numeral '50' in the upper-left corner, followed by the central legend 'Gutschein der Stadtgemeinde Melk a. d. Donau' and a three-line redemption guarantee text, a manuscript signature of the Bürgermeister, and the validity line 'Gültig nur bis einschließlich 30. Juni 1920'; below, a red overprint in bold Gothic lettering reads 'Dritte Auflage'. The right vignette panel presents a detailed line-art view of Melk Abbey perched above the Danube, with a heraldic lion at the base, all enclosed within an ornamental border of interlocking rosette-and-crosshair motifs.
