| Obverse description | Printed in reddish-brown on cream paper, the note is enclosed within a diamond-pattern border. The central vignette is composed of two oval cartouches flanking a quartered heraldic shield bearing a rosette, a cross, and the date 'MDX', framed by an ornate scroll surround; the left cartouche contains a view of the local parish church with its distinctive tower, while the right cartouche presents a hilltop castle amid trees and rolling fields.
