Obverse description Printed in blue ink on buff paper, the obverse is divided into two principal zones: at left, a large circular guilloche vignette encloses the denomination numeral '50' flanked by the inscriptions 'HELLER' above and below, surrounded by an ornate lace-like border. To the right, a rectangular engraved townscape vignette renders a view of Langenlois with a bridge, civic buildings, and a church tower beneath a stylised sky. The issuing authority title in Gothic blackletter script arches across the upper portion, and a liability clause with the date 'Langenlois, 22. Februar 1920' appears below, accompanied by three manuscript signatures under their respective official titles.

Reverse description The reverse, printed in brown ink on the same buff paper stock, carries at upper left a woodcut-style heraldic shield surmounted by a coronet, serving as the municipal coat of arms of Langenlois. To the right of the arms, a seven-line poem in Gothic script evokes the Loiser wine country and regional patriotism. Below, a centred redemption notice in larger Gothic type states the non-interest-bearing nature of the note and the redemption window, with a final anti-counterfeiting warning in smaller type.
