Kreisbach is a small Lower Austrian village — population in 1920 was well under a thousand — which makes this Heller note an unusually minor issuer even by the standards of Austrian Notgeld. The postwar currency collapse forced municipalities of all sizes to print emergency money, but most notes from settlements this small were produced in very limited quantities and rarely left the immediate area.
The JPR470c designation places it within the Jaksch catalogue of Austrian local issues, the standard reference for this material.
