| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse is printed in dark brown and ochre tones on plain paper. At upper centre, a bold header band carries the legend KASSENSCHEIN DER STADT, below which the town name KORNEUBURG appears within a decorative band. To the left, a vignette renders the Korneuburg town hall in fine linear detail. The denomination numeral 50 is set within a prominent dark oval at centre, with the word HELLER below in a matching band, and the date KORNEUBURG MÄRZ 1920 beneath. To the right, a Gothic-script text block states the municipality's liability guarantee. Along the lower margin, three facsimile signature lines are printed for the Bürgermeister and two Vize-Bürgermeister. |

| Opmerkingen |
Korneuburg's 50 Heller Notgeld belongs to the second type in the JPR0466b series, issued as Austria's postwar currency chaos made small change practically extinct. The chronic coin shortage that followed the dissolution of the Habsburg economy forced hundreds of Austrian municipalities to print their own emergency money between 1919 and 1921 — Stadtgemeinde Korneuburg among them. These local issues had no central authorization and circulated purely on the issuing town's civic credibility.
Korneuburg sits on the Danube just north of Vienna, and its notes were intended for purely local use, redeemable only through the municipal treasury.
