The 50 Heller denomination places this firmly in the everyday transactional range — bus fares, bread, small purchases — where the disappearance of bronze and nickel coinage hit hardest.
Austrian municipal Notgeld of this period was typically printed in very limited runs for purely local use, and most pieces saw heavy handling before being withdrawn once coin supplies stabilized in the early 1920s.
