| Beschrijving voorzijde | A panoramic vignette of the town of Hollenstein an der Ybbs set against an Alpine mountain backdrop occupies the upper portion of the note, rendered in brown letterpress. The entire composition is framed by an elaborate oak-leaf and acorn border. Below the townscape vignette, the issuer's name appears in Gothic blackletter script, with the denomination '50 Fünfzig Heller 50' set in large display type at the foot, flanked by numeral counters; the designer's signature 'A. Blaschek' is visible at lower right. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is set within a plain double-rule rectangular border on a light ground with a faint guilloche underprint. The text is entirely in Gothic blackletter script and carries the full legal text of the Notgeld voucher, stating the note is interest-free and redeemable in legal tender until 31 December 1920, with a counterfeiting warning. Three municipal officials' facsimile signatures appear below the body text, identified by their titles, with the printer's imprint at the foot. |

| Opmerkingen |
A product of Austria's Notgeld period, when hundreds of municipalities printed their own small-denomination emergency scrip to address the catastrophic coin shortage that followed World War I. Hollenstein an der Ybbs is a small market town in Lower Austria on the Ybbs river, and this note was produced just down the valley at the Waidhofen press — a genuinely local affair, from design to signature. Blaschek's involvement suggests a local commercial artist rather than any professional banknote engraver.
Three named municipal officials signed, which is unusually specific for Notgeld of this denomination.
