| Opmerkingen |
A product of the notgeld wave that swept rural Austria after the First World War, when coin shortages forced even small market towns to print their own emergency pfennig-denomination scrip. Haag — a modest Lower Austrian town — contracted its own local printer, Buchdruckerei Edm. Huber, for the job rather than using one of the larger Vienna-based firms that supplied many neighboring municipalities. This kept production costs down but results in comparatively rougher printing quality across the Haag series.
The Jaksc/Pick suffix "IVc" indicates this is one of several distinct varieties within the 50 Heller denomination, distinguished by minor typographic or color differences that collectors frequently conflate.
