| Obverse description | A detailed line-art vignette of the Heiligenkreuz monastery complex occupies the centre of the note, rendered in a two-colour letterpress style with pink and black inks against a cream ground. The place name 'Gutenbrunn = Heiligenkreuz' is inscribed in Gothic blackletter script in the upper right, while the denomination legend '50 Heller Kassenschein 50' runs along the lower margin in matching script. The artist's signature 'E. F. Hofecker' appears in the lower right corner, and the entire design is enclosed within a decorative wave-pattern border. |
