Below the vignette, a two-line text in Gothic type records the authorising council resolution (G.R.B. 25/2.1920), the total issue ceiling of 13,000 Kronen, and the validity date of 31 August 1920, with the printer's imprint "E. Geinberg is a small commune in Upper Austria's Innviertel, and this 50 Heller note is one of dozens issued by the municipality during the Notgeld period — when postwar coin shortages forced even minor rural councils to print their own small-denomination emergency money. E. Prietzel of Steyr handled a considerable volume of such local commissions across the region, working quickly and cheaply to meet demand from villages that had neither the budget nor the need for elaborate design work.
Georg Wiesbauer's signature as authorizing official is the only individuating mark tying this particular emission to local administrative accountability.
