The reverse is text-based, with the denomination «50 h» in large bold type at the left margin over a faint oval watermark-style underprint. To the upper right, a four-line German verse in blackletter script laments the inflationary deficit. Below, a prose redemption notice in Fraktur type states that the Kassenschein is non-interest-bearing and will be redeemed in legal tender by the Marktgemeinde Gars between 1 and 31 December 1920. At foot, a counterfeiting warning and the printer's imprint appear.

备注

Austrian municipal notgeld of this period was typically a local fiscal stopgap, but the Gars am Kamp series has a following among collectors partly due to Karl Elleder's involvement — he was a local artist whose designs for several Lower Austrian Notgeld issues gave them a character well above the average municipal emergency note. F. Berger in Horn was the dominant small-format printer for this corner of Lower Austria, handling numerous Notgeld commissions for towns in the Kamp valley during the postwar currency shortage.

The liability clause on the note — pledging the commune's entire movable and immovable assets against the obligation — was legally standard but rarely so explicitly worded.
