| Obverse description | The left portion carries a vignette of the Gainfarn village church and rathaus rendered in a light ochre-toned letterpress wash, framed by an ornate foliate border with grapevine motifs and the denomination numeral '50' at lower left. The right panel, set against an orange-tan underprint within a dark green decorative border of leaf and oval guilloche ornaments, presents the denomination '50' in large Gothic numerals at upper corners flanking the issuer inscription, with 'Fünfzig Heller' in bold blackletter script dominating the centre. Below, a redemption clause in German script typeface gives the date of issue as 1. Juli 1920, followed by four manuscript signatures of municipal officials over their printed titles. |
