备注

Austrian Notgeld at the municipal level proliferated after the First World War when chronic coin shortages forced thousands of small communities to issue their own emergency fractional currency. Fuschl am See, a lakeside village in the Salzkammergut, was among the smaller communes to participate — its wartime and postwar populations were modest enough that print runs for these notes were correspondingly limited.

Z. J. Kral was a Vienna-based printer responsible for a number of Salzburg-region Notgeld issues during this period. The 1920 date places this squarely in the second and more decorative wave of Austrian municipal notes, after purely utilitarian early issues gave way to the collector-targeted "Seriennotgeld" phenomenon.
