| Opmerkingen |
Austrian municipal notgeld of this type emerged from a practical collapse of small-denomination coinage after World War I — hoarding and metal shortages left everyday transactions nearly impossible, forcing hundreds of communes to print their own emergency scrip. Eggendorf's issue was handled by L. Haasp in Linz, a regional printer responsible for a number of Upper Austrian municipal issues during this period.
The Jaksch/Pick reference JPR0165d places this within a multi-value series from the same commune. The "d" suffix indicates at least four distinct varieties were catalogued.
