| Obverse description | Printed in dark brown and pale blue on cream paper, the obverse centres on a light blue vignette of Ardagger collegiate church set amid trees, enclosed within an ornate Art Nouveau border of dark brown scrollwork and circle motifs. An oval cartouche at upper centre carries the municipal coat of arms, flanked by the legend "Gutschein der Gemeinde Markt Ardagger" and the validity notice "Gültig bis 30. Dez. 1920". The bold numeral "50" appears at lower left and lower right, with "Fünfzig" and "Heller" rendered in decorative Gothic lettering within the lower corner panels. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is letterpress-printed in dark brown over a pale blue guilloche underprint, within a double-ruled frame ornamented with continuous scrollwork. A divided panel at left bears the denomination "Fünfzig" and "50 Heller", while the right section reproduces the full text of the Gemeinderat resolution of 20 April 1920, authorising the issue of Notgeld in denominations of 10, 20, and 50 Heller and guaranteeing redemption in legal tender. Four facsimile signatures of municipal officials appear below the authorising text, with the printer's imprint "Druck von F. Kielar, Amstetten" at the foot. |
