The upper portion carries a central vignette of the Brünlkapelle (spring chapel) flanked by two text panels in Fraktur script relating a pious legend of the patron image; a broad decorative guilloche border with gear-wheel roundels at each side frames the composition. The central register displays the denomination ':: Fünfzig Heller ::' in large Gothic display type between the numerals '50', below which a text block records the issuing authority, the mayor's name, and the validity date, with the redemption pledge and counterfeiting prohibition inscribed along the top and bottom margins respectively. |
