Hacklbrunn is a small village in Upper Austria, and this note is a Notgeld issue — emergency municipal scrip produced during the acute coin shortage that followed Austria's collapse after the First World War. Hundreds of tiny Austrian communities printed their own fractional notes between 1919 and 1921, with designs and print quality varying wildly depending on local resources. The Jaksc/Pick reference 0323lla places this firmly within the documented Upper Austrian Notgeld corpus.
Franz Schaumberger's signature as issuing authority is the only authentication this note carries.
