| Obverse description | Cream paper Gutschein printed in letterpress with a repeating floral rosette outer border and an inner ruled frame enclosing all text. The heading 'Gutschein der Gemeinde Sandl' is set in bold Gothic blackletter above the large denomination numeral '50' flanked by symmetrical scroll-and-wheel typographic ornaments, with 'über' and 'Heller' completing the value statement. Three lines of smaller Gothic script record the authorizing municipal committee resolution of 2 May 1920, the redemption deadline of 30 September 1920, the place-and-date line 'Sandl, am 2. Mai 1920.', the mayor's signature line of Josef Schober at lower right, and an anti-counterfeiting warning within a ruled panel at the foot. |
