背面描述 Plain paper reverse printed in the same dark reddish-brown ink, entirely enclosed within a decorative floral and foliate border. The text, set in Fraktur script, sets out the legal basis and redemption conditions of the notgeld, noting the municipality's liability and the redemption deadline of 30 November 1920. The edition designation '3. Ausgabe!' appears in the upper right corner, and the printer's imprint 'SOMMER, ST. PÖLTEN' is placed at the foot of the note.

备注

A Notgeld issue from the Lower Austrian municipality of Rabenstein, printed during the acute coin shortage that followed Austria's post-war economic collapse. The Habsburg copper-nickel issues had largely vanished from circulation by 1919 — hoarded, melted, or simply withdrawn — and thousands of small Austrian communes were left to paper over the gap themselves. Rabenstein was one of hundreds that commissioned local printers to produce emergency small-denomination notes in 1920.

Sommer of St. Pölten handled a substantial volume of regional Notgeld work during this period. M. Moser's design credit is relatively uncommon for a municipal issue of this size.
