The Czechoslovak state arms occupy the central field: the double-tailed Bohemian lion rampant to left, bearing on its breast the Slovak shield charged with a patriarchal cross on a triple mount. The circular legend ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ REPUBLIKA is arranged around the periphery, interrupted at the base by the date 1931 flanked by a small ornamental rosette. The bold, plastic modeling of the heraldic device is characteristic of Španiel's sculptural style. |

The large numeral '50' dominates the upper field, flanked on either side by naturalistic sprays of linden branches bearing heart-shaped leaves and blossoms. Below, two stalks of wheat fan outward symmetrically and are bound together at the center with a ribbon tied in a bow, creating a decorative bouquet motif that fills the entire field. The engraver's signature O.ŠPANIEL appears in small letters along the lower rim. The design is deeply and crisply struck, consistent with a trial or pattern piece, with no peripheral legend. |
