Obverse description The Czechoslovak state arms occupy the central field: the double-tailed Bohemian lion rampant to left, bearing on its breast the Slovak shield charged with a patriarchal cross on a triple mount. The circular legend ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ REPUBLIKA is arranged around the periphery, interrupted at the base by the date 1931 flanked by a small ornamental rosette. The bold, plastic modeling of the heraldic device is characteristic of Španiel's sculptural style.
Obverse script Latin

Reverse description The large numeral '50' dominates the upper field, flanked on either side by naturalistic sprays of linden branches bearing heart-shaped leaves and blossoms. Below, two stalks of wheat fan outward symmetrically and are bound together at the center with a ribbon tied in a bow, creating a decorative bouquet motif that fills the entire field. The engraver's signature O.ŠPANIEL appears in small letters along the lower rim. The design is deeply and crisply struck, consistent with a trial or pattern piece, with no peripheral legend.
