Obverse descriptionOrnamental frame with five medallions. Top left medallion with allegory of music and painting. Top right medallion with allegory of architecture and sculpture. Top middle medallion with two lions holding royal coat of arms of Bavaria on a crowned embroidered shield, depicting a lion representing the Palatinate, sloping lines with a central bar representing Swabia, three peaks for Franconia, a blue lion for the Counts of Veldenz, and an inner escutcheon with lozenges for Bavaria. In lower left and right medallions, allegorical heads of Bavaria. At the bottom, a rosette with value.
Reverse descriptionAllegorical bust of Bavaria wearing fur and holding oak wreath above her head on a dark etched background in oval medallion. Two rectangular medallions with rounded corners: to the left, allegorical figures of the Danube and Isar; to the right allegorical figures of the Rhine and Main. Four cartouches in the four corners with the value.
