Opmerkingen

De Curaçaosche Bank was the central issuing authority for the Netherlands Antilles, and this 1960 series was among the last printed before the island group's monetary arrangements were gradually restructured through the 1960s. Enschedé in Haarlem had printed for the bank across multiple decades, and their intaglio work on this denomination is characteristically precise — fine-line backgrounds with tight register throughout.

The watermark is the sole security feature, which by 1960 was already conservative relative to contemporary colonial and post-colonial issues from comparable territories. Pick 54 is not a common note in circulated grades; the denomination was high enough that most examples saw limited transactional use.
