Obverse description Printed in blue, the obverse is framed by intricate guilloche work interspersed with stylized foliage, centred by a large rose window motif. Four oval vignettes at the corners illustrate various aspects of Suriname's local economy, while the denomination "50" appears four times within circular rosettes. The serial number is printed three or four times, and a combination of two manuscript signatures — those of the Director and the Director-President (Voorzitter) — appears in black, with title size varying by issue date.
