Reverse description Bold denomination 50 GROSZY occupies the central field, set within a large rectangular frame with a cross-shaped internal division creating a distinctive geometric cartouche. Below the denomination, two miners' hammers are crossed in saltire with a single wheat ear centred between them, symbolising labour and agriculture. The word PRÓBA (trial/pattern) appears to the left of the cartouche, indicating the coin's status as a trial strike. The engraver's initials W K appear in small characters beneath the central motif. The design was executed by Wacław Kowalik.
