| Obverse description | At centre, an oval intaglio vignette presents a cotton plant with open bolls, flanked on each side by large guilloche-worked denomination numerals 50 set against a multicolour underprint with floral corner ornaments. The bank title BANQUE NATIONALE DE LA REPUBLIQUE D'HAITI arches across the top, with CINQUANTE GOURDES inscribed below the central vignette. Two signature lines bearing the titles LE PRESIDENT and LE DIRECTEUR GENERAL appear at the foot of the note, with the printer's imprint along the lower border. |
