备注

The Banque Nationale de la République d'Haïti operated during this period under a particularly uncomfortable arrangement: the bank was effectively controlled by the National City Bank of New York, part of the U.S. financial occupation that ran alongside the military occupation begun in 1915. Haitian officials had nominal roles; American advisors held the real authority over note issuance and reserves.

ABNC's engraved work on this series is among the finer commercial printing of the period, though the political circumstances of the commission are rarely remarked upon in catalog literature. The occupation formally ended in 1934 — just after this series went out of use.
