| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a bold, typographic design arranged within a raised inner circle set against a flat, recessed field. The Gregorian date '1950' is positioned at the top of the inner circle, above the large numeral '50' dominating the central field. The word 'FRANCS' is inscribed below the numeral in bold capital letters, with the mint engraver's marks visible beneath. The legend 'TUNISIE' curves along the lower outer border between the inner circle and the coin's rim, completing the identification of the issuing territory in French. |

Muhammad VIII al-Amin was installed as Bey of Tunis by the French in 1943 after they deposed Muhammad VII for collaborating with the Axis occupation. This essai — a trial strike produced by the Monnaie de Paris for approval rather than circulation — was never put into general production, making survivors almost exclusively collector pieces that bypassed ordinary commerce entirely. The Bey himself would be deposed in 1957, one year after Tunisian independence, when Bourguiba abolished the beyship and declared a republic.
