| 裏面の説明 | The national arms of Gabon displayed centrally, comprising a shield divided into three sections — the upper portion bearing three roundels arranged in a row, and the lower section depicting a sailing ship upon water. The shield is surmounted by a crest of crossed olive branches and is supported on either side by black panthers rampant facing inward. A scroll bearing a motto appears below the shield. The legend REPUBLIQUE GABONAISE arcs along the upper periphery flanked by stars, while INDEPENDANCE and AOUT 1960 appear along the lower left and right periphery respectively.
