| Obverse description | Bold right-facing effigy of President Léon Mba occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with finely detailed facial features and close-cropped hair. The portrait is truncated at the neck and positioned slightly left of centre. The upper legend reads PRESIDENT LEON MBA, arcing around the upper rim, while REPUBLIQUE GABONAISE curves along the lower periphery, flanked by small star ornaments.
