背面描述	The reverse features a finely detailed botanical depiction of a sorghum plant rendered in high relief, with multiple heavy grain-laden panicles drooping gracefully from slender stems that fill the central field. The engraver's signature 'L.FOURBÉ' appears in small letters at the base of the design. The circular legend 'NOURRITURE POUR TOUS', referencing the FAO's mandate of food for all, runs along the periphery and is separated from the inner field by the same decorative serrated border of chevrons and lozenges as seen on the obverse.

附加信息	Issued under the Food and Agriculture Organization's coin program, which ran globally from the late 1960s onward and recruited developing-nation mints and central banks to produce circulating coinage explicitly tied to agricultural development messaging. Mali's participation came during a period of acute Sahelian drought — the 1968–1974 famine had killed tens of thousands across the region and left the country economically devastated. The FAO series gave the Banque Centrale a politically useful vehicle for new coinage without the optics of routine currency reform mid-crisis. KM#9 replaced an earlier aluminum issue of the same denomination.
