The Banque Centrale du Congo has reissued this denomination repeatedly since the mid-2000s, a pattern driven less by routine replacement cycles than by persistent inflationary pressure and the logistical difficulty of distributing currency across one of the largest and most infrastructure-poor countries in the world.
