Beschrijving voorzijde	Central design features a stylized depiction of the Friday Mosque (Ancienne Mosquée du Vendredi) of Moroni, rendered in fine relief, showing the distinctive minaret rising above a decorative balustrade with arched colonnades below. Two ornamental olive or palm branches flank the base of the mosque at either side. The Arabic legend بنك يا كمور (Bank of Comoros) arcs across the upper field. The entire design is enclosed within a continuous beaded border.

Beschrijving keerzijde	The denomination 50 in large numerals dominates the central field, with FRANCS inscribed immediately below. A crescent moon accompanied by four five-pointed stars arranged diagonally appears in the upper portion of the field, serving as the national symbol of the Comoros. The date of issue is inscribed in the lower central field, flanked by small ornamental devices. The legend BANQUE CENTRALE DES COMORES curves along the left and right peripheral margins in Latin characters. The design is enclosed within a beaded border.
