Obverse description Intaglio multicolour note centred on a vignette of an African woman in traditional dress and headwrap harvesting red coffee berries from a lush coffee plant at left centre, set against a pastoral underprint in blue and green tones. The denomination numeral "50" is printed at upper left and upper right corners, with the issuing authority legend along the top margin and "CINQUANTE FRANCS" in a blue panel at the base. Two facsimile manuscript signatures of Le Directeur Général and Le Président appear at upper right, above the serial number.
