A central oval cartouche encloses the numeral 50, flanked by two decorative vignettes bearing heraldic or allegorical figures, with the denomination rendered in large script lettering as Cinquante Francs across the lower half. Serial number and series letter appear at both upper corners and along the lower margin, with signature lines for Le Trésorier and Le Gouverneur at the foot of the note; the illustrated example bears ANNULLE cancellation stamps. |
