| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse is executed in olive-green intaglio on a fine guilloche underprint, centred on a vignette of two allegorical female figures — the left resting beside classical architectural elements, the right holding a book or tablet — flanking the bilingual denomination cartouche reading '50 FRANCS' at upper centre. The full bank title and value inscriptions in French are arranged in layered letterpress across the central text block, with the secondary denomination panel '10 BELGAS' set within an ornate guilloche cartouche at lower centre. The serial number is printed at lower centre, and the forger's warning legend appears in a scroll panel at the foot of the note. |
