Obverse description Central figure of the Freedom Statue (Szabadság-szobor) of Budapest, depicted as a standing female figure raising a palm frond aloft with both arms, set against radiating sunbeams emanating from the base. The commemorative dates 1945 and 1970 flank the statue on either side in the field, marking the 25th anniversary of liberation. Three stars appear along the lower rim. The circular legend MAGYAR NÉPKÖZTÁRSASÁG arcs around the upper periphery, with the engraver's signature KOVÁCS D. inscribed along the lower exergue.
