Reverse description The central field displays the large numeral '50' in bold Arabic-Indic style figures occupying the upper and lower portions of the design. A rectangular cartouche bisects the numeral horizontally, containing the Arabic word فلس (Fils) in raised letters. The entire central device is enclosed within a plain circular border, which is in turn surrounded by an ornamental chain-link pattern of repeating elongated hexagonal and diamond-shaped links that extends to the coin's rim, lending a decorative geometric quality to the reverse.
