| Obverse description | Central field bears the national emblem of Bahrain, depicting a traditional dhow sailing vessel above a stylised palm tree and pearl, all enclosed within a circular border. The emblem is rendered in bold relief with clean geometric lines characteristic of mid-twentieth-century Gulf coinage design. The Arabic legend دولة البحرين arcs around the upper periphery, while the Latin legend STATE OF BAHRAIN curves along the lower periphery. The Hijri date ١٤١٢ هـ appears to the left and the Gregorian year 1992م to the right of the central device, both flanking the emblem within the border. |

The entire central device is enclosed within a plain circular border, which is in turn surrounded by an ornamental chain-link pattern of repeating elongated hexagonal and diamond-shaped links that extends to the coin's rim, lending a decorative geometric quality to the reverse. |
