Below the central device, the Arabic legend 'پمباه' (Pemba) appears in the lower field, with the Arabic numeral date '٢٠١٣' inscribed beneath it. The overall design is executed in a style reminiscent of Ottoman or Islamic decorative heraldry. |

No Sultanate of Pemba has issued coinage. Pemba is an island administered as part of Tanzania's Zanzibar semi-autonomous region, and no internationally recognized or numismatically documented sultanate there struck currency in 2013. This piece is almost certainly a fantasy issue — produced for sale to collectors with no governmental authority behind it.
