| 裏面の説明 | The reverse is dominated by a large numeral 50 set within an elaborate scalloped guilloche underprint at centre. The denomination in Hungarian, ÖTVEN FILLÉR, is inscribed in bold letters across the top, with a horizontal band of multilingual denomination text in smaller characters immediately below, rendered in German, Slovak, Croatian, and Cyrillic scripts. A serial number prefix letter and six-digit serial number appear in the lower left and right corners respectively. |

The Magyar Nemzeti Bank issued this 50 Fillér note as part of a wartime auxiliary series — small-denomination paper filling the gap left by metal coinage being progressively withdrawn from circulation as Hungary's war preparations accelerated through the late 1930s. The fillér denominations were never prestige issues; they were functional stopgaps, printed cheaply and expected to wear out fast.
P#101 is routinely found in poor condition. Heavy circulation and low-quality wartime paper stock combined to destroy most examples. Survivors with intact margins and readable serial numbers are genuinely uncommon.
