| Reverse description | Central device features a sinuous Chinese imperial dragon in high relief, coiling dynamically and facing forward with an open mouth, surrounded by stylized cloud and flame motifs filling the field. Manchu script flanks the dragon on both sides within the inner circle. The upper peripheral legend reads KIRIN PROVINCE in raised Latin letters, while the lower arc bears the denomination 3 MACE AND 6 CANDAREENS, with small rosette or star stops separating the inscription segments. The dragon's detailed scale work and vigorous posture are characteristic of the Kirin Mint's distinctive engraving style during the late Guangxu period. |
