| 表面の説明 | The obverse features two portrait busts in high relief set against a dynamic background of aircraft in flight, evoking the history of aviation. To the left, a stylized profile bust of a figure wearing a pilot's cap is rendered in a linear, graphic style, while to the right a more naturalistic, three-quarter facing bust of an aviator wearing a leather flying helmet and goggles is depicted in finer sculptural detail. The denomination '50 euro' appears in the lower left field alongside the 'RF' monogram denoting the French Republic. The legend 'L'AVIATION & L'HISTOIRE' is inscribed along the right rim, framing the composition. |

Issued to mark the 90th anniversary of Charles Lindbergh's May 1927 transatlantic flight, this is one of the Monnaie de Paris's larger collector pieces in the recurring series honoring aviation milestones. Lindbergh flew 5,800 kilometers from Roosevelt Field, Long Island to Le Bourget outside Paris in 33 hours and 30 minutes — landing to a crowd estimated at 150,000. The French reception was genuine; Lindbergh was awarded the Légion d'honneur within days of touching down.
At 163.80 grams of .950 fine silver, this is a presentation-grade issue with no circulation history by design.
